‘It is much more important to be oneself than anything else’ - Virginia Woolf
In 2010, a brave group of 25 pioneers signed up for an adventure into the real final frontier, inner space. Over the next 40 days, they experimented with new ways of seeing, thinking and doing. As they travelled a new language emerged, ‘slowment’, ‘acoustic community’, ‘wabi-sabi’, ‘waiting for the right wave’. New poets emerged, vision, insight, clarity and honesty revealed deeper truths and deeper selves.
evolute’s now well-established online adventures combine depth psychology, useful philosophy, literature (including foreign novels and poetry in translation), art, leadership theory, online videos, music and experiences drawn from everyday life. You will receive an email every day with a short insight and points for reflection and action. With your username (you can remain anonymous) you will have access to the adventuring community’s forum where you can share your stories to encourage others and increase your own insight into your own experiences.
evolute runs two foundational adventures each year, lent adventure in the Spring and advent-ure in December. (Despite the names, these adventures are not specific to any religious tradition. We just borrow these pre-established seasons to help us focus our explorations.)
Our next online adventure will be advent-ure starting 1st December to explore new ways of being as we go into winter. Sign up now!
Look out for our new 'happenstances' project! More information coming soon!
